TOM working in the maintenance shop loses his thumb on the turning lathe only for amenities cleaner MINGER to find the thumb while sweeping the bloody mess popping it into a jar of dirty Clyde river water sealing it and starting the chain of events that will become the Urban Myth of The Hairy Thumb.

ABIE LINCOLN so-called over his pervading body odour is struggling with a drink problem yet appears to have a fine future as a council street cleaner if only he can hold onto his refuse barrows.

Its last call for Storeman DROOPY checking out the way he would have wanted to go.
